Ramshorn Snails

Write the first review

Ramshorn snails generally will eat only the most delicate plants, preferring algae, uneaten fish food, and dead fish. Some varieties do particularly enjoy eating the leaves of stem plants such as cabomba and anacharis.

ben ward Asked:

You say in your explanation that ramshorn snails will eat delicate plants. I have a number of beautiful water lilies in my pond along with other plants. All I want to know is will the ramshorn snails eat the plants and the water lilies? If not then I will buy some, if they will what should I buy instead?

We Replied:

Dear Ben Thank you for your question. Ramshorn snails will not eat plants such as lilies. It is other aggressive snails that will cause damage to ornamental plants. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton
