Pond Heater Alternative

A cheaper to buy and cheaper to run alternative to a pond heater. This aeration unit can be used in the winter periods to keep areas of the pond ice-free, and then in the summer to increase the level of oxygen in the pond and reduce carbon dioxide levels. When installing the pump please ensure the air pump is located in a covered area such as a shed or garage, for use in the winter the airstone should be placed no lower than 30cm from the bottom of the pond, to ensure warmer, lower water regions are not cooled.
