Description

A fabulous addition to any garden, the Norlog 400 gallon pond is an outstanding water feature that is very easy to install.

This large-sized 400 gallon (1800 litre) pond is ideal in all types of gardens, creating a feature area and is easy to put together due to the simple slot together design. Complimented by the three seat benches on the top of the frame which allow you sit and admire your fish during the day.

The wooden slats simply slot together, the liner is included in the package and three seats are quickly screwed into place. No digging or plumbing is necessary and in about half an hour you will have an attractive and accessible pond. Whether you turn the Norlog 400 gallon pool into a water feature with the optional fountain pump or go all out to create a wildlife haven with fish and the optional pump/filtration set, it'll no doubt create a popular feature in the garden. To add further interest, a set of lights is also available as an option.

All the wood is pressure treated for long life and sustainably sourced from European forests, hence the hefty 10-year guarantee against wood rot.

Base Preparation
Norlog ponds do not come with a base and are designed for the liner to hang inside. To ensure that the included liner does not grind or wear on anything sharp on the floor, we recommended layering a blanket of sand underneath your pool on the inside.
Alternatively, you may use a piece of redundant carpet, rug or mat cut down to size to cushion the liner and act as a barrier between the bottom of the liner and the ground, thus ensuring maximum durability and life span of your pool.

Norlog 400 Gallon Pond

Delivery was superb with no problems whatsoever. I was astonished the timber came in 3 boxes with the liner in its own box. I have to say it's so much better than I expected it to be and the epdm liner is excellent too. Set up took a wee bit of getting used to but was quick and it took longer to fill than build! I have installed a waterfall spillway, put in a variety of plants and have a good number of large goldfish, comets and shubunkins supported by good filtration. Anyone who has seen it thinks it fantastic. I now gave lights on it and it looks great at night. Would recommend without hesitation.

Great pond!

Purchased this pond to replace a smaller one. Very good quality and well packaged upon delivery. Easy to assemble once the bottom level is established. Finished job in around 45 minutes. Looking good on our patio now we have a stock of fish.

We have just ordered a 400 gallon wooden surround pond from you. Can it be placed straight onto grass and do we need to put something underneath to protect the liner? Will the wood be okay on grass too?

Dear Philip Thank you for your question. A pond can be made as deep as desired providing it is strong enough to hold the weight. We do not stock any oblong pools big enough to house that volume of koi, your best bet would be to build a pond to the shape and size you require out of block or brick and then render and seal the pool. Dear Andy Thank you for your question. We have been advised by the manufacturer that the liner is made from 0.75mm rubber (EPDM) with a 10 year guarantee. The pebbles and plants will be fine and won't be an issue but please place them inside and not drop them to avoid damage to the liner.
