Cloverleaf Automatic Fish Feeder

(4.3) Based on 1 Review

Description

With the transformer integrated into the computerised timer, these auto fish feeders are exceptional value for money, and will be appreciated by all pond keepers who either have frequent holidays, or by those who are away from their ponds during most of the day.

To give you some idea of the size of these feeders .. the middle size one that will hold up to 5kg of pellet food, stands 18" (46cm) tall and is 8 1/2" (22cm) diameter....  substantially built to last and certainly as good as any other feeder on the world market.

The Digital Timer is easy to use and set and displays the present time, it is accurate to within 2 minutes per month of set  time and can be set for minutes and seconds (with 1 second being the minimum), making the autofeeder suitable for the smallest of ponds. It is believed that this facility makes the Cloverleaf Auto Fish Feeder totally unique in the value for money stakes.

The timer can control up to eight groups of ON/OFF programs, and can also have combinations, such as hourly, daily, weekly, group of days for the ON/OFF programs. Even Daylight saving time can be programmed on the timer. The timer is provided with a rechargeable battery pack so that it can maintain the programs programmed by the user

Feeding small amounts at frequent intervals is scientifically known to benefit both fish and filtration systems, and the computer controller with digital display allows just this. Up to 8 feeds a day over any given period are possible, with full control over the exact amount being fed. The quantity of pellets dispensed is approx half a cupful in 1 minute which represents about 2 ounces of Tetra Koi Floating Sticks.

Although the Fish Feeders are IP55 protected the computer programmer unit needs to be housed in a dry sheltered position. In instances where playful domestic pets or young children have access to the pond, the auto feeder casing should ideally be fixed to adjacent decking/paving for stability and security.

These Cloverleaf Feeders are suitable for normal UK outdoor conditions - however like all electrical equipment, the mains plug and electronic timer MUST be housed in a dry enclosure. The base of the feeder is not designed to stand in water and an R.C.D. must be used. Do not emerse the unit in water, to clean use a damp cloth, and ensure that the unit cannot be either knocked, or blown by the winds, into the pond - full instructions are supplied with every Feeder.

Helpful device

I bought this for my mum who suffers from arthritis and struggles to feed the fish by hand, the timer is simple to use and mom knows when they are being feed as she still enjoys watching them eat, as advised by gardensite during the winter we have only fed wheatgerm and only once every other day to get the fish ready for spring.
